TEAM Representatives Visit the Wildlife Rescue Center in Stara Zagora
Representatives of the citizens’ association TEAM recently visited the Wildlife Rescue Center in Stara Zagora, a specialized facility operated by Green Balkans that focuses on the rehabilitation, treatment, and release of rare and endangered wild animals.

The center is a unique institution in Bulgaria, dedicated not only to rescuing wildlife in distress but also to caring for birds of prey and other species that, due to long-term injuries, cannot be returned to the wild. Through specialized breeding programs, the center contributes to the conservation of these vulnerable species.
Of particular importance to TEAM are the center’s educational initiatives and environmental programs aimed at engaging and educating young people. These programs align closely with TEAM’s mission to promote environmental awareness and sustainable development.
During the visit, TEAM representatives and staff from the Wildlife Rescue Center explored potential avenues for collaboration, especially in organizing educational camps and workshops for youth. These joint efforts are expected to strengthen environmental education and foster greater community involvement in nature conservation.
